Labor Relations
It has been Knowles’ long-standing policy to maintain the highest ethical standards in the conduct of its affairs and in its relationships with customers, suppliers, employees and the communities in which Knowles’ operations are located. Knowles maintains standards that are consistent with the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (the “EICC”). The EICC provides guidelines to ensure worker safety and fairness, environmental responsibility and business efficiency. We are strongly opposed to any degree of forced, bonded, involuntary, prison or indentured labor and have therefore created and enforced efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from our supply chain:
- Beginning in 2012, we’ve implemented training for our supply chain personnel focusing specifically on ways to mitigate slavery and human trafficking issues from our supply chain, to the greatest extent possible.
- We proactively educate our suppliers and carry out our commitment to seek out business partners who share our values and, in accordance with our Supplier Code of Conduct, specifically prohibit our suppliers from using forced, bonded, involuntary, prison, or indentured labor.
Our Code of Business Conduct requires our employees to comply with employment-related laws, including those related to wages, hours and minimum age requirements.
